Los resultados no hacen más que afirmar algo que ya ha sido planteado: la todavía baja
participación de estas modalidades de ocupación del suelo sobre el total del territorio en
comparación con la mayoría de las ciudades latinoamericanas.
Las villas predominan en la primera corona de urbanización, como puede observarse en el cuadro
N° 3. Esa fue la tipología predominante en la ocupación del suelo en el AMBA durante la década
del ´70 del siglo pasado. Por ello se explica que mientras en la primera corona se halla poco más
de la mitad de los “asentamientos informales”, la cantidad de villas casi duplica a las existentes
en la segunda corona, donde predominan los asentamientos.
